Living Books & Play-Based Learning
Young children thrive in an environment rich with stories, wonder, and exploration. Using Before Five in a Row, we invite our youngest learners into the world of beautiful literature, fostering a love of reading through rich storytelling and meaningful discussions. Each book naturally introduces concepts in social studies, language, science, math, and art in a gentle and engaging way.
Outdoor Play
Outdoor play will be an essential part of their experience, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and physical development. Whether exploring nature, playing active games, or engaging in sensory-rich activities, our Wanderers will have the freedom to learn and grow.
Exploratory Play
In this unstructured yet intentional environment, children will engage in open-ended play, storytelling, music, movement, and creative projects.
Core Phase
Ages 5-7
Five in a Row – Literature-Based Discovery
Through living books and immersive, hands-on experiences, children will engage in social studies, language, art, applied math, and science in a natural and inspiring way. Rather than rushing into formal academics, we nurture a love of learning by inviting children to explore big ideas through storytelling, discussion, and creative projects.
Dinosaur Exploration – A Journey Through Earth’s Wonders
Curiosity drives learning in this hands-on exploration of dinosaurs, geology, and earth sciences. Through stories, experiments, and play, children will discover the wonders of the natural world, inspiring awe and a deeper understanding of history and science.
PE – Movement & Play
Physical activity is essential for developing bodies and minds. This class encourages teamwork, coordination, and confidence through engaging group games and active play.
Little Boys Club – Heroes & Character
Boys will be mentored in leadership and noble character through engaging stories of historical and literary heroes. Discussions, activities, and field trips will inspire them to act with courage, integrity, and purpose in their own lives.
Little Girls Club – Classic Heroines & Virtue
Girls will be mentored through stories of inspiring women from history and literature who exemplify virtue, leadership, and wisdom. Through book discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world experiences, they will deepen their understanding of what it means to live a life of purpose.
Love of Learning Phase
Ages 8-11
Discovering Great Artists – Art as a Window to the Past
Children will engage in meaningful, hands-on art experiences while studying the great artists of history. By observing and creating, they will learn to appreciate the beauty and storytelling within art, developing a connection to culture and creativity.

Heroic Youth Girls – Virtue, Leadership & Legacy
Inspired by the stories of classic heroines and historical women, girls will deepen their understanding of leadership, integrity, and purpose. Through book discussions, service projects, field trips, and hands-on experiences, they will be mentored in developing their own unique contributions to the world.
Heroic Youth Boys – Noble Character & Leadership
Boys will study the lives of great leaders and heroes from history, learning how principles of courage, honor, and perseverance shape strong individuals and communities. Through storytelling, experiential learning, and real-world application, they will be mentored in becoming principled and capable young men.
