We are working to cultivate a community of scholars and families who are dedicated to the pursuit of truth, virtue, and leadership through classics and mentorship. By encouraging deep thinking and offering real-world application through project based learning, we empower all within our community to discover their unique mission, take ownership of their education, and prepare to lead lives of purpose, service, and freedom.
Classes offered at Kindred are called scholar projects and they are an implementation of project-based learning.
We use different learning environments to mentor our scholars: writing, interactive discussion, simulation, read books, hold colloquium, and other immersive introductions to project materials.

Kindred Family Commonwealth is a new community offering leadership education through project based learning in Davis County, Utah.
We support families in alternative schooling methods such as homeschool, partial public, and particularly those looking for greater meaning and depth of education.
We are working to cultivate a community of scholars and families dedicated to the pursuit of truth, virtue, and leadership through classics, mentorship, and agency-based learning. By fostering deep thinking, meaningful relationships, and real-world application, we empower youth to discover their unique mission, take ownership of their education, and prepare to lead lives of purpose, service, and freedom.
We believe every person has a divine mission to discover and fulfill, serving as a pathway through life’s challenges and a force for good in the world. To support this journey, we provide a deeply rooted Leadership Education experience that fosters virtue, character, and liberty for families in our community.
Our school is built on the principles of mentorship, classics-based education, hands-on learning, and strong family involvement. We create an environment where scholars and adults alike engage in meaningful, transformative learning that prepares them to think deeply, lead with integrity, and act with purpose.
This type of education empowers individuals to take ownership of their education, cultivate their gifts, and develop the wisdom and character necessary to influence the world for good. Kindred is not just an academic institution—our goal is to be a community of families dedicated to raising future leaders, thinkers, and innovators.

our founding story
For years, we have felt called to create a school that embodies the timeless principles of Leadership Education. Rooted in faith, mentorship, and classical learning, this vision has been shaped by our deep desire to serve families, nurture scholars, and strengthen our community.
We have watched as the demand for a values-centered, project-based, mentor-led education has grown, with families seeking a place where truth, virtue, and leadership are cultivated. With our waitlist expanding and space at our previous group limited, we knew the time had come to step forward and create something extraordinary—a place where more families could discover their missions, develop noble character, and prepare to lead with wisdom and courage.
Kindred is not just a program. It is a calling, a community, and a legacy. Every family who joins us will be part of something great—a movement to restore true education, strengthen homes, create an involved community, and prepare the next generation to lead and serve.
Now, after years of thought and preparation, we are ready to begin this journey.
